Former British Council teacher 'Sadaf' talks about the difficulties she faces as a pregnant Afghan woman stuck in a hotel in Pakistan. when the Taliban took power back in 2021 she was forced into hiding as her life was in danger due to her links with the British Council & UK Government. After over a year in hiding, the UK Government confirmed she was eligible to be relocated to the UK on the ACRS scheme. The FCDO then advised her to travel to Pakistan and await relocation, but 9 months later she is still waiting. With a baby due in less than 3 weeks it is a challenging time for Sadaf.
